Good Bye LIT

Guillaume, Giacomo, Garance and Théa (our LIT's) just left for a 5 days canoe trip at the Voyageur National Park.

What is the LIT program ?

This program is catered to the older camper.  Through hands-on training and group initiatives, the Camp Olson LIT program focuses on cooperation, self-discovery, and leadership skills.  It is a two-week session includes a canoe trip.  LITs will leave with a greater sense of themselves and the necessary skills to be a leader.

The second week at camp began !

Since the beginning there has been already a lot of emotions and new experiences. The four LIT's have discovered their new group, and getting ready for their canoe trip (they are living on thursday). They had been doing lots of funny stuffs every morning since monday. Like Guillaume had a bandana on his eyes and he had to trust the others campers of his group to go everywhere, Thea was tied to an other girl, and Giaccomo had to yell every time he was speaking ! Watching to them at camp was really funny !
The other french  campers had new cabins too. They were starting to make new friends again. Lots of them were talking a lot more with american kids than last week.
I (Hélène) have a AWESOME cabin this week. They are beginners riders girls so they are all around 10 years old, and they are really super cute ! Every morning, we are at the corral with horses, I love it. Unfortunately, one of them left this morning because she was sick. I also had really agitated nigths with these lovely girls. During the second night, Lily, who was sleepping in the bed on top of me, was sleepwalking ! She started to try to go off her bed but she was going to fell off her bed and hurt herself. We moved her to a bottom bank and she started to walk on the floor, talking and making weird noises. It was really funny and scary too ! Some girls were afraid of her, it was not easy to make everyone falling asleep. Finally, last night, we had a huge storm, making lots of noise. My campers were afraid so they couldn't fall asleep again, and one of them was sick too, so it was not a restfull night ! By the way my work at camp is easier this week than last week, even if I am still tired, I'm really happy of this week.

This is Lily, my sleepwalking camper, who is really cute and nice, and who calls me Ouioui because it's the only french world she knows !
